Dr. Scharf helps a lot of patients from the Parkland community that are harmed at work. According to the National Safety Council, the most frequent kind of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which involves trauma to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace accidents.
The most ordinary type of MSD is a strain, which is trauma to a muscle or tendon. Strains are caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by engaging in repetitive movements. Other typical MSDs are carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back problems.
These injuries can be stopped by using appropriate lifting techniques, taking several breaks and using ergonomic devices. Employers can also help put a stop to injuries by giving their employees educational sources on avoiding getting hurt on the job.
Back issues and injuries are a ordinary issue that Dr. Scharf sees in our #Ciyt# office and we also work with people who have shoulder or neck pain.
If you are suffering from a work injury or accident and live in the Parkland community, give Dr. Scharf a call and make an appointment today. We will help you to create a treatment plan that will help you get relief and do our best to get you back on the job as quickly as we can!
